Met Éireann issues rainfall warning for Offaly and twelve other counties

Thursday and Friday look set to be particularly wet days, with a rainfall warning issued by Met Éireann for Offaly and twelve other counties in the south and east of the country.

"From Thursday evening to Friday evening, persistent and sometimes heavy rain may lead to localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions," said Met Éireann

The yellow-level warning was issued this afternoon (Wednesday), and will be in place for a 24-hour period from 6pm on Thursday until 6pm on Friday.

The affected counties are: Laois, Offaly, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wicklow, and all of the Munster counties.
