Offaly Libraries Comic Con 2023 to make its return this weekend

Offaly Libraries is delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of its award winning Offaly Libraries Comic Con which takes place in Tullamore Library this Saturday.

This colourful, fun and free family friendly event has become a staple in Offaly’s library calendar since 2019.

The library will host Vendors and Artists Allies, bookable LEGO and Art workshops in The Creative Zone, Dungeons and Dragons Sessions in the Table Top Games Area and children can take a moment from the hustle and bustle to enjoy Shamrock Brick’s LEGO Freeplay Zone and Crafty Table spaces.

Visitors to the library will be treated to Viking battle and Medieval duel demonstrations, while prizes for all ages are up for grabs in the annual cosplay competition. VEX Robotics will need help using robots to deliver Pizzas to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles throughout the day and the presentation area will be full of interesting conversations on everything from Pokemon cards to Collectibles and Cosplay.

Doors will open for the action packed day at 10am and it’s sure to keep everyone entertained until 4pm. This innovative project is funded by Creative Ireland and Offaly Libraries.
