Actor with Offaly links passes away

Hollywood actor Angus Cloud aka Conor Hickey who has strong Offaly connections and was known for his break-out role in Euphoria has passed away aged 25.

The young actor's local cousin and owner of JJ Hough's pub in Banagher Ger Hough has paid tribute to him. Angus made an appearance in the pub's seventh annual Christmas ad entitled 'The Biscuit Tin' last year which racked up thousands of views.

Angus is Ger's second cousin and he visited Offaly last summer with his family. He enjoyed a few drinks in JJ Hough's pub and visited a forest in Cushina.
