Offaly pub is finalist in Bar of the Year Awards
A renowned Offaly hostelry has been named as a finalist for Best Traditional Bar of the Year in the Bar of the Year Awards.
Taking to social media to share the news, JJ Hough's pub in Banagher, said: "We are thrilled to be one of the finalists for Best Traditional Bar of the Year 2023 and honoured to be among some amazing venues."
J.J. Hough’s is a traditional Irish bar hidden, famous for their vine-covered pub and, more recently, for a series of short films on social media.
With almost 600 submissions this year's Bar Awards have seen more entries than ever before, which made the judges decision even harder. After intense deliberation only the best bars have been shortlisted as finalists. After months of rigorous evaluation and an exhaustive search for the most exceptional venues, the Bar of the Year Awards is thrilled to showcase the crème de la crème of the bar industry.
These individuals and venues have consistently raised the bar, delivering unparalleled experiences and pushing boundaries within the industry.
All finalists will be considered for the 2023 People's Choice Award, voted by the public.The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Anton Savage on Monday, August 21 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
