Public invited to have their say on future of Derryounce Lake

In the wake of the signing of a contract for the preparation of a 10 year plan and concept designs for the hugely-popular tourist amenity on the Offaly border with Laois, at Derryounce Lakes outside Portarlington, Offaly County Council has invited members of the public to have their say on the future development of the area.

The local authority are asking for ideas and suggestions on how users of the Derryounce Lakes and Trails facility would like to see it grow and develop over the next 10 years, what the landscape should contain and how it should be laid out.

The survey closing date is Monday, July 31 next.
