The Nose of Tralee Pet Competition returns for 10th year

Ireland’s biggest annual pet competition is back celebrating its 10th year – and is accepting entries from all types of pets until midnight on June 26.

Last year 1600 pets entered the Nose of Tralee, organised by Pet Sitters Ireland - and it was not just cats and dogs that entered. There was even a chicken in the finals!

To enter the Nose of Tralee all pet owners need to do is upload a picture of their pet and tell Pet Sitters Ireland why they would make a great Nose of Tralee.

After a public vote and a judging panel 32 finalists will be selected to represent each county in Ireland.

The overall winner of the Nose Of Tralee will be announced on the August 22 after an online public vote.

Kate McQuillan, Owner of Pet Sitters Ireland, said: “We are excited to celebrate 10 years of the competition and I know people have been waiting for entries to open so they could enter their pets. We are looking forward to seeing more amazing pets enter this year.”

Last year’s winner was Tyrone Nose, Sadie and runner up was Monaghan Nose, Betty.

The winner and runner-up will receive prizes from Sponsors Pet Sitters Ireland, Tesco Ireland, and David MaCauley Photography.
