Coffee Morning in aid of Cancer Care West

A very successful coffee morning was held in Clara on May 18 in aid of Cancer Care West.

The event hosted by Jim and Mary Buckley, Silverdale, Clara, raised over €1,500 for the charity.

The event was held to show appreciation for the unstinting care and attention provided to Jim when undergoing his treatment for cancer and to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

Jim and Mary would like to thank everyone who came to support the coffee morning. Thanks to all who donated buns, cakes and special thanks to Liz Rickard, the tea maker.

Cancer Care West provides a cancer rehab service for adults, before, during and after cancer treatments. The service is designed to help prevent, manage and improve the side effects from cancer and it's treatments. They provide professional community-based practical and emotional support services, free of charge, to anyone affected by cancer.
