Mucklagh pupils win FAI Schools Leinster final
Pupils from St Colman's National School in Mucklagh, Tullamore, brought home the honours at the FAI Primary School 5s Leinster finals yesterday (Wednesday), where they won the boys' ‘B’ Cup final.
The Offaly boys defeated Gaelscoil an Mhuilinn, from Mullingar, in the decider which was played at the MDL Grounds in Navan.
The sixth class pupils from Mucklagh made it through to the final after winning the mid-Leinster finals - involving schools from Kildare, Offaly Laois and Kilkenny - a week earlier.
They will now have the honour of playing at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, where the national finals take place at the end of the month.
In a social media post, the school praised the team for a superb victory.
