Offaly Jobs Fair to return following success of last year's event

The Offaly Jobs Fair will take place again this summer with 500 jobs on offer in various sectors following a successful inaugural event last year. Over 50 high-quality recruiters and companies will be on hand to speak to jobseekers.

Jobseekers will have the opportunity to meet recruiters from a range of sectors such as manufacturing, construction, hospitality and engineering at the Tullamore Court Hotel on Saturday, June 10.

There will also be representatives from the Laois and Offaly ETB to discuss apprenticeships and representatives from remote working hubs in the region. Grow Remote will be on hand to discuss how remote employment enables people to work, live and participate in the community of their choice.

The Offaly Job Fair will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 10am to 3pm and will feature hundreds of active job opportunities right across the county.

The launch of the job fair took place on Friday, April 28 at the site of the new Zoetis facility in Srah IDA Business and Technology Park, Tullamore. Zoetis, one of the world’s leading animal health companies, is expanding its manufacturing and development facility in Tullamore.

The initiative has been launched by the Tullamore Chamber of Commerce along with the Offaly ETB, Offaly Local Development Company, the Local Enterprise Office and Offaly County Council.

A copy of the application form and full details are available on the Chamber website at www.tullamorechamber.com or by contacting Aoife Wyer in the Chamber Office by emailing info@tullamorechamber.com.
