More celebrations at Mount Lucas parkrun
Clear skies and sunshine greeted the 71 participants and volunteers at Mount Lucas Windfarm for the Mount Lucas parkrun last Saturday morning.
Mairead Scally, a Mount Lucas regular celebrated her 100th run. She is a great supporter of Mountlucas parkrun, volunteering on a regular basis. Mairead was joined on the day by her daughter Pearl, who completed the run with her. The rest of the family were on hand to cheer her across the finish line.
There were also a number of first timers and visitors from Vicarstown and Tipperary.
Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning in over 2,000 locations in 23 countries across the world.
Mount Lucas Parkrun is based at Mount Lucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.3 am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
