Construction and Quarrying Machinery Show event to be held in Tullamore

The national Construction and Quarrying Machinery Show (CQMS) will take place next week in Tullamore.

The event has attracted enormous interest from exhibitors, sponsors and visitors and will be held in Molloy’s quarry, Tullamore on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22.

Organiser Brian Coogan said interests levels in the event are huge.

“When you bring a lot of big machinery to a town in the Midlands it’s always going to create a huge amount of interest so ticket sales are very strong, probably stronger than the last time we ran the show.”

Mr Coogan said: “We’re bringing thousands of people to the town of Tullamore. The hotels are fully booked.”

He also mentioned that 140 exhibitors mostly from outside the town will also stay in local hotels and spend money in the town.

The organiser has anticipated that around 10,000 people will attend the event over two days. There are some local companies exhibiting at the show and it’s estimated well over €100 million worth of equipment and plant machinery services will be on site.

He confirmed Finning Caterpillar will also attend.

CQMS is Ireland’s only construction and quarry machinery expo and attendees can expect a unique event which showcases displays from major brands such as: Thwaites, Hitachi, Bell, Bomag, LiuGong, Kubota, Terrex and Komatsu to name but a few to demonstrate live their latest product innovation in dedicated demo areas that will make sites safer, smarter and more sustainable.

Many of Ireland’s leading dealers and distributors will also be in attendance from TBF Thompson, Dungannon Plant Sales, Cullion Plant and Dave Power Plant.

CQMS ’23 will attract and unite the industry, allowing dealers, distributors and manufactures to meet, to do business, to create new relationships

The three sponsors of the event are Capitalflow, the Irish Plant Contractors Association (IPCA) and Topcon.
