Joy as groom-to-be wins €15,000 local lotto jackpot in Offaly

A delighted Mark Bergin from Edenderry was recently presented with a cheque for €15,000 after becoming the first person in over a year to win the B.O.L.D. (Ballycommon Organisation for Local Development) lotto jackpot.

With a wedding to his fiancée Siobhan Deasy coming up, Mark could not believe his luck when promoter Dan Geraghty got in touch to let him know that he had won the fundraising lotto based in Ballycommon, Tullamore.

Mark, accompanied by his fiancée Siobhan, was welcomed to Ballycommon Telework and Training Centre to receive the cheque.

B.O.L.D. chairman Damien Mealiffe congratulated him and remarked that, given the upcoming nuptials, it was a well-timed win.

All monies raised by the B.O.L.D. lotto are reinvested in the community with various initiatives including Emergency Alert Pendants, Defibrillators, Childcare, Neighbourhood Watch, the Community Christmas Dinner, and the repair & refurbishment of Dun Eochla Centre to name a few.

Tickets can be purchased online or from promoters. If anyone would like to help or join the committee, please contact Damien on 087 1943704.
