Gallen CS win judges award at national robotics event final

Gallen CS in Ferbane won the judges award at the second level finals of the VEX Robotics competition in Cork recently

The school said the award was testament to the strength of relationships that have been built up between Calum, Darragh, Fionn, Jake, Jenna, Matthew, Molly and Sheola through hundreds of hours working together on this project. Judges commented so positively on the trust and belief the group had in each other. The school thanked Ms. Shine and Eoin Lally for their work with the group and also acknowledged the support of Offaly County Council.

The Judges Award is presented to a team that the Judges determine is deserving of special recognition. Judges consider a number of possible criteria for this award, such as team displays of special attributes, exemplary effort and perseverance at the event, or team accomplishments or endeavors throughout the season that may not fit under existing awards but are nonetheless deserving of special recognition.
