Local schools to celebrate outstanding achievements in Digital Education

Secondary schools from Ireland will gather in Banagher College later this month for the Digital Schools Awards Europe Annual Award-Giving Event.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 29 from 11am to 12.15pm and will include a presentation ceremony and digital classroom showcase.

Oaklands Community College, Edenderry, Tullamore College, Ard Scoil Chiaran Naofa, Clara, Banagher College and Coláiste Naomh Cormac will all be taking part in the event.

Delivered with industry partners HP and AMD, the Digital Schools Awards programme recognises schools for outstanding achievement in the quality of digital teaching and learning.

On the day, special recognition will be given to nine secondary schools from Laois and Offaly for their awards and to acknowledge their significant contribution to the development of a new European SELFIE Digital Schools Academy which aims to accelerate and improve sustainable digital education practices in schools.

The event will showcase experiences, ideas, and inspiration from awarded digital schools in Laois and Offaly.
