PHOTOS: Successful open day held at Birr Garda Station

Birr Gardai have thanked the public after their open day on Saturday last attracted a large turnout.

"Birr Gardai would like to thank everyone who joined us on Saturday for our Open Day. A great day was had by all," said the force on social media.

A special thanks was extended to the other services who joined the Gardai on the day.

The Air Support Unit, Armed Support Unit, Mounted Unit, Scenes of Crime Unit, Dog Unit and Community Policing were among those in attendance at the event, which concluded with a parade of Gardai from Market Square to Emmet Square.
