FLEADH: The Wrafter Family showcase their many talents on the Gig Rig 2

The Wrafter Family from Kilbeggan received a warm reception when they played the Gig Rig 2 on Wednesday night.

It has been an eventful week for the Wrafters, who are well known due to their many TV appearances on such high profile programmes as the Late Late Show.

Thomas (13) is competing in the bodhran 12-15 years competition, where he will be accompanied on the banjo by his older brother Conor.

On Wednesday night, they opened their set with a Sean Keane number that was sung by the youngest member of the family, Amy. This was followed by a lovely version of the Furey Brothers' classic, The Old Man, by Amy, Conor and Thomas' father Peter. Their mother Noreen also plays in the band.
