Caslin to bring street art to water tower

Local artist Joe Caslin is bring his street art back to Tullamore for another incredible and socially engaging message.

The work is part of the Arts Council-funded Spectacular Vernacular- Making the Ordinary, Extraordinary, In the Open/Faoin Spéir in association with Offaly County Council.

Joe previously created a mural on the Tullamore Municipal District building, Acres Hall, in 2015 - now he is back to create one of his signature wall pieces following a series of conversations and interactions with asylum seekers in Offaly, on the water tower at Tullamore Train Station.

The great reveal will take place on Sunday, April 3

Meanwhile on Saturday, there will be a special tree planting day at Coole Eco Community, as part of the Putting Down Roots project with Steve Doody that will involve a community collaboration between Coole Eco Village, members of Direct Provision and event organizers, planting 300 trees together as part of the project to plant 8,000 native trees across Offaly representing the number of people seeking asylum in Ireland and living in Direct Provision.
