Met Éireann upgrades Storm Eunice warning level for Offaly

Tomorrow morning's storm warning for Offaly has been upgraded by Met Éireann.

The county had been under a yellow-level warning for Storm Eunice, but that has now been changed to the more severe orange-level warning, which means potentially dangerous and disruptive conditions are on the way.

The storm is expected to reach Ireland in the early hours of Friday morning, with the weather warning coming into effect at 3am and lasting until 11am.

Red-level warnings have been issued for two counties, Cork and Kerry.

"Storm Eunice will track quickly over Ireland tonight and Friday morning bringing severe and damaging winds for a time," said Met Eireann.

A status orange snow warning has also been issued for several counties in the north-west of the country early tomorrow, while a yellow-level wind, rain and snow warning is in place for the entire country until 3pm on Friday.
