17 people are waiting on a bed in the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore this morning, according to the latest trolley watch figures issued by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

The number of admitted patients on trolleys in Tullamore is the highest number across the Midlands region, with 14 people awaiting a bed in Mullingar and 3 in the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise,

Nationally, the number of admitted patients on trolleys in hospitals across the country this morning is 460, with 367 of these in the Emergency Department and the remaining 93 in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
