Busy summer for Rath Eglish Foróige Club

It’s been a busy summer for the Rath Eglish Foróige members as they undertook various community projects in conjunction with Rath Cemetery Committee.

This involved painting the wall of Rath cemetery, planting flower boxes and cleaning up around the community hall and church. Rain or shine ,the activities took place over a number of weeks with all members getting involved.

Rath Eglish Foróige members attended a mosaic workshop host by Aidan Byrne of @makemosaic. Using tiles of all shapes and colors, a fantastic range of mirrors and plaques were created by members and leaders. This was a very relaxing and creative workshop, which was enjoyed by all.

For the more energetic, a day out was organized with Birr Outdoor Education Centre, combining team games with canoeing on the Shannon . The club year was wrapped up with a well earned trip to Tayto Park.

Ongoing activities include maintaining the flower boxes and litter picking .
