Success for Ferbane AC athletes

Ferbane Athletics Club is celebrating the success of two of athletes in the Athletics Leinster Junior, Master and Senior Track & Field Championships on July 3 and 4 last.

On Saturday, Charlotte Healy finished second place in the Senior Women’s ‘Weight for Distance’ event with a personal best of 5.23m. Charlotte also finished in a very solid fourth place in the Junior Women’s Shot Putt. Charlotte has been going from strength to strength in recent years.

Also congratulations to Mick Fogarty who finished in 1st place in the Master men’s over 40 on Sunday, July 4 and is in the form of his life following on for his second-place finish in the St Cocas AC 5K Road Race in Kilcock on the weekend before last.

Mick has been a hugely consistent performer over the last number of years with great success in County, Provincial and National events. The club is extremely proud of Charlotte and Mick’s achievements and wishes them continued success in the future.
