Pullough Community Shop wins Community Collaboration Award

Pullough Community Shop has been awarded the Community Collaboration Award at the Offaly Community Recognition Awards.

Hosted by Offaly County Council in partnership with Offaly Independent, the awards aim to acknowledge the outstanding community efforts that individuals and groups have delivered in Offaly over the past year.

The shop, which has been open for four years, provided delivery services to people in the area who were isolating or preferred not to leave their home during the pandemic.

Paddy O’Reilly also delivered hot meals to those who needed them three days a week, and continues to do so.

The team comprises of twelve volunteers ranging in ages from sixteen upwards.

Runner up for the award was Kilcormac Development Association
