Martina Gorman wins Social Inclusion Award at Offaly Community Recognition Awards
Martina Gorman, a resident of Killeigh, has won the Social Inclusion Award at the Offaly Community Recognition Awards for her involvement with several local groups.
The awards, hosted by Offaly County Council in partnership with Offaly Independent, aim to acknowledge the outstanding community efforts that individuals and groups have delivered in Offaly over the past year.
Martina is among thirteen people involved in transforming the old Macra Hall into a community centre.
She has also been involved in fundraisers for Darkness Into Light, Mental Health Awareness, the Grand Canal Walk, and she volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
Runner up for the award was Lloyd Bracken of ‘Little Town Media.’
