Offaly resident's stunning image goes viral
Fresh from being crowned press photographer of the year last weekend at the Press Photographers Association of Ireland awards, Ballycommon resident James Crombie, a native of Rahugh, has been back in the news with a sensational shot of a murmuration of starlings on Lough Ennell.
The photo, which depicts the starlings in the shape of a bird, was used on the front page of The Irish Times, prompting James to express his happiness at capturing the unique image.
Separately, RTE News have published a video of the moment James and his colleague Colin Hogg captured the unique formation of birds.
