Three on trolleys in hospital this morning

There were three people being treated on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore this morning.

According to the INMO's Trolley Watch survey, the threepatients were being treated in the hospital's Emergency Department.

In Portiuncula hospital, four people are on trolleys; two in the emergency department and two in wards. There are 11 patients on trolleys in the ED at Mullingar hospital. Portlaoise hospital had no patients on trolleys.

Nationally, there are 253 people being treated on trolleys this morning, 203 in EDs and 50 on trolleys in wards. The hospital with the highest number of patients on trolleys this morning is University Hospital Limerick (71 patients), followed by Cork (51).
