26 social housing units planned for Tullamore
In Tullamore, plans have been unveiled for a 26-unit social housing project in the town.
The voluntary housing association, Clúid, is to develop a site close to the junction of the Srah Road and the Rahan Road in the town.
Planning permission was secured for the project a year ago and Clúid has confirmed it will acquire the land and develop the site through an agreement with the developers, John Flanagan Developments.
The scheme, located at what Clúid has described as Jackson’s Hill, Rahan Road, will consist of 26 units to be used as general needs housing.
The developer is scheduled to start on site this summer with construction works expected to last for twelve months.
Clúid is currently advertising for specialists to administer the operation of the development of both the Tullamore project and a separate 67 house development in Wexford town.
