Special COVID-19 address by the President through local media

President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins has today issued a special message through local media to the people of Ireland on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting his address, he said: "Knowing how important local media – local, community radio stations and local newspapers – is to all of our citizens and those, in particular, who are housebound, I am availing of this valuable resource to send a message to our citizens."
