Tullamore’s Chasing Abbey headline Irish Open
Tullamore’s Chasing Abbey will headline the Saturday night of this year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in July as the hip hop sensations confirmed they are the latest music act set to rock the ‘Lahinch Live’ Stage.
Just last month, they caught the attention of US music publication, Billboard, bagging themselves an exclusive Billboard premiere of their EP The Odyssey Project, but also a lengthy interview with the publication.
Joining Hermitage Green, who headline the Sunday night at the festival, the line-up promises to be a week of entertainment with something for everyone in the family at the popular seaside town, situated along the west coast of Ireland.
The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which for the first time will be played over the spectacular Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club from July 4-7, is hosted by The 2014 Ryder Cup winning Captain Paul McGinley, with tickets available here.
Chasing Abbey are Outro, Bee Fade and Teddy C; the breakout success story of the Irish music scene.
The Tullamore group have just released their third single Choices, which skyrocketed to the top of the download charts upon its release.
Their debut track That Good Thing saw them pick up the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Award for Song of the Year, while their winter offering Talk to Me enjoyed unparalleled success both in the charts and across streaming services.
Following a number of appearances at massive festivals across the summer, supporting Rita Ora and The Chainsmokers, Chasing Abbey are now bringing their electric live show to the ‘Lahinch Live’ Stage at Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
A star-studded field will descend upon Lahinch this July, including Tommy Fleetwood, Padraig Harrington, Russell Knox, Shane Lowry, Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen, Lee Westwood and Danny Willett, all competing for the highly coveted Waterford Crystal Trophy with further names to be announced over the coming months.
The much-anticipated Wednesday Pro-am will also be hotly contested by Irish sport and entertainment stars. GAA stars Joe Canning, Cian Lynch, Shane O’Donnell and Davy Fitzgerald will go head to head with rugby star Paul O’Connell, with more star names to be announced.
The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open takes place from July 3-7, 2019. Tickets are available from www.dubaidutyfreeirishopen.com.
