Stars line up for the Roe Show!
Over the course of the last year and a bit Clara singer Alex Roe has been steadily building a reputation as one of the most promising young rising stars on the Irish country music scene, and now, he is getting ready to unveil his debut album to an expectant world. And he has some of country’s top stars on their way to help him celebrate the big occasion in The Well, Moate on October 16.
'Living the Life' will feature all three of Alex’s number one singles to date, including what became one of the songs of summer just gone for many, the irresistibly catchy Summer Time, plus his debut release 'All I Need Is You', and the follow-up, 'We’ll Walk Hand In Hand'.
Among the artists joining Alex in the famous dance venue The Well next month will be Olivia Douglas who had reason to celebrate herself last weekend as her new single 'I’m Off To Lisdoonvarna In The Morning' hit the number spot on Irish country radio.
Also making the journey to the Westmeath venue will be Gerry Guthrie, one of the most popular artists on the scene these days, whose talent as a guitarist has made him the envy of many. Paul Kelly, whose single 'Cut The Grass', was also a big favourite of country fans this summer will also be taking to the stage to wish Alex well.
There’ll be stars from closer to home joining the party, too, in the shape of Irish country legend TR Dallas, and fellow rising stars, Sabrina Fallon, David Kiernan, Larissa Tormey, Chrissy Mac, and Colin Kenny, with more familiar faces like Andy Feery, Pete Kennedy, and Ger Long also on hand to keep the dancefloor full. With proceedings jointly overseen by Joe Cooney and Kevin Lalor Fitzpatrick from Midlands 103, and the fabulous Ryan Turner Band setting the tempo all night long, it certainly seems like Alex’s new album, ‘Living the Life’, is well titled for a night like this!
