Appeal for witnesses to fatal accident

Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Tubberlaheen, Ballinagar, at 3pm on Monday afternoon, September 3.

The male driver (late 50s) was fatally injured when his van left the road and collided with a wall. He was the sole occupant of the van.

His body was removed to the morgue in Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore where a post mortem will take place. 

Garda forensic collision investigating officers attended the scene and the road was closed to traffic for a time. Local diversions were put in place.
