Diarmuid and Denver line up for The Show
GAA star Diarmuid Connolly and country singer Mike Denver are among the many famous faces taking part in The Show, the annual charity fundraiser organised by Tullamore retailers Guy Clothing and KODE.
It's that time of the year when some of the country's most famous faces, not to mention a few local celebrities too, team up with two of Ireland's premier fashion stores, Guy Clothing and KODE, for The Show, an event that has become one of the nights of the year on Tullamore's social calendar.
Over the last few years, Anthony and Kara Kearns, co-owners of Guy Clothing, KODE, and the children's store K&G Kids, have organised this fabulous evening of fashion, fun, and goodwill. The Show has become a huge success, not just because it has established itself as such a well-run event, with local and national star names taking to the runway and showing off one gorgeous and stylish outfit after another, but even more importantly, because the night is always organised in aid of two local charities. This year's beneficiaries will be SOSAD (Save Our Sons And Daughters), and Tullamore Special Olympics.
The Show will take place in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, on Tuesday, November 28, with doors due to open at 7pm, and the first models hitting the catwalk half an hour or so later. Tickets are only €10 and are available from Guy Clothing, KODE, and K&G Kids in Tullamore. As an added bonus on the night, the first 150 guests to arrive on the night will each receive a free goody bag full of cool treats!
Country music star and brand ambassador for Guy Clothing, Mike Denver, will be taking time out from entertaining his fans the length and breath of the land to be a part of this very special event for the second year running. And once again, the Portumna man is expected to show off his modelling skills by taking his turn on the catwalk as well as bringing a tune or two to the night's proceedings. Other household names who are taking part this year, include Dublin's All Ireland winning footballer, Diarmuid Connolly, and also Tomas O'Se, and of course, the Faithful County's samurai of the sliotar, Shane Dooley.
Bringing yet another dimension of feel-good-factor to The Show this year will be the inclusion of a Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Gent segment, which will be judged by Mike and Paul of Funky Fashion Frolics, with Mike and Paul also expected to partake in a little modelling on the night, too.
So make sure you get your tickets, and get there early enough to get your goody bag, too. Not only is a night of smiles, laughter, and craic on the cards, but by coming along you'll be helping to support two wonderful causes: SOSAD, and Tullamore Special Olympics.
