€415,000 funding for local projects
THREE projects in Offaly will benefit to the tune of €415,000 under the REDZ (Rural Economic Zones) initiative.
Birr Castle is the single biggest beneficiary,with €316,870 for the new Education Centre as part of I-LOFAR Telescope project. Banagher will receive €50,000 to enhance the town around the marina, while €48,000 will go towards promoting Kilcormac as a gateway to Lough Boora Discovery Park.
The Minister for Health Promotion, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy TD welcomed the funding.

I would like to congratulate all the stakeholders involved particularly the Local Enterprise Office who were so helpful with the submission of the applications, she said this week on foor of the good news for the three areas.
