Local estates awarded €11,300 in grant funding
A total of 27 estates in the Tullamore Municipal District were awarded funding of €11,300 for the enhancement of their community.
The 27 estates awarded funding amounting to €11,300 for enhancement works were:

Aughamore, Clara €500; Abbey Court, Clara €500; Cluain Fia, Clara €300; Kilmanaghan Lodge, Clara €200; Marian Square, Clara €300; Westwood Park, Clara €200; Raheen, Clara €200; Twickenham, Ballycumber 500; Oakfield, Tullamore €300; Whitehall, Tullamore €500;
Carraig Cluain/Cill Ban, Tullamore €500; Chancery Park, Tullamore €500; Eiscir Meadows/Norbury Woods, Tullamore €800; Arden Vale, Tullamore €500; Pearse Park, Tullamore €400;
Droim Liath, Tullamore €500; Hophill, Tullamore €600; Thornsbury, Tullamore €500; Kilbrook, Tullamore €400; Lynally Grove, Mucklagh €200; Beechmount Park, Mucklagh €500; Tegan Court, Mucklagh €500; and St Brigid’s, Mountbolus €300.
Local Independent Councillor Dervill Dolan also welcomed the recent allocation of Estate Enhancement Grants for Residents’ Associations within the Tullamore Municipal District who rely predominantly on fundraising and donations to operate.
Cllr Dolan said the 27 successful groups awarded grants varying from €200 to €800, will benefit from the once-off grant aid for estate enhancement projects or activities.
“The total grants approved goes some way to show recognition and appreciation of the great voluntary work undertaken by local people within these local community groups,” said Cllr Dolan.
