Three due in court over Athlone shop burglary

Three people arrested in Clara in connection with the burglary of a shop in Athlone on Sunday are due in court today.

Last night Gardaí charged the two men aged 21 and 49 and a woman aged 22 in connection with a burglary in Athlone. A large amount of cash was taken during the incident.

The younger man and woman were arrested by gardai in the Clara area on Tuesday. The 49 year-old man was arrested yesterday. All three accused are due to appear before Mullingar District Court this morning.

Gardai recovered a substantial amount of cash during the investigation.
