Gardai suspect silver Audi TT used in Birr burglaries

Gardai are appealing for information in relation to an Audi TT car they suspect was used in burglaries in Birr at the weekend.

Gardai in Birr said a property was burgled at Clonoghill in Birr at around midday on Saturday. The burglars forced their way into the house through a window and searched the property.

Earlier that morning, cash and jewellery were stolen in a burglary at Drumakeenan, Birr. On that occasion the rear door of the property was forced open. Gardai believe the Audi TT was used in both burglaries.

The car, a silver two door coupe, which had up to four male occupants on board, is believed to have been in Roscrea and Nenagh in Co Tipperary on Saturday.

Gardai are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has seen the distinctive silver Audi TT to contact Birr Garda Station on 057 91 69710 or 057 91 20016.
