Appeal after woman dies in Westmeath collision

Gardaí are appealing for information after a woman died in a two car crash in Co Westmeath this morning.

Gardaí at Mullingar are investigating the collision which occurred on the N4 at Bunbrosna, around three miles west of Mullingar, at around 9.20am this morning.

The two vehicle collision resulted in the death of the female driver and sole occupant of a car. The male driver and female passenger of the second vehicle have both been taken to hospital.

The N4 at Bunbrosna is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local Diversions are in place.
