Overcrowding continues at Tullamore Hospital

As overcrowding continues, the HSE has again asked patients to consider visiting their GP before attending Tullamore Hospital.

The HSE stated that “the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore is experiencing high levels of attendances and admissions today. As a result, the HSE’s Escalation Policy has now been activated at the hospital.”

“In order to assist us we are requesting that patients in the first instance, consider using their GP or Midoc Service for medical assessment, where possible,” the HSE stated.

It said the situation will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
