Wet windy and overcast welcome to your bank holiday weekend
The unsettled and dismal weather of the last few days is set to continue into the bank holiday weekend, according to Met Eireann.
The outlook is for a relatively dry Saturday with moderately high temperatures, Sunday will see persistent rain with rising winds while Bank Holiday Monday will be no picnic either.
Met Eireann said some of the country will face strong to gale force winds, while there is the potential for heavy showers, particularly in the west. There may be some sunny spells between showers. Temperatures are expected to peak at between 16 and 19 degrees.
