Offaly actor cast alongside jamie dornan for a third time
Offaly actor Sam Keeley has been cast to star alongside Irish actor Jamie Dornan for a third time.
Sam’s father, musician Brendan Keeley, said “they have become massive friends.” The Irish actors previously worked together on Adam Jones (starring Bradley Cooper), which is due for release on October 2. They have just finished filming Jadotville, the story of Irish UN troops under siege in the Congo, in South Africa.
Now they are both set to appear in Anthropoid, a film set in 1941 Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. “He went from South Africa to Prague, himself and Jamie,” Brendan said. The movie tells the true story of two Czech soldiers who are sent to kill Nazi General Reinhard Heydrich, who was known as the Butcher of Prague. The movie also features Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
Sam’s proud father Brendan said his son’s success “is a great example to fellas that want to do this, that a fella from Tullamore can get up there and rub shoulders” with famous actors. “This has been his busiest year since he started,” Brendan explained. “He’ll be home for a short while after Anthropoid and then he is off to the States,” he remarked.
While Sam’s hectic schedule doesn’t allow for much socialising with his family at home, Brendan is thrilled at how well his son is getting on. “It is brilliant, I am just over the moon,” he said.
Sam is set to grace the silver screen in October when he appears alongside Jamie Dornan and Bradley Cooper in Adam Jones. He will then appear alongside Chris Hemsworth and Cillian Murphy in Ron Howard’s epic In the Heart of the Sea in December.
