Unbelievable interest in bord na mna machinery auction

Bord na Móna is selling off over 200 lots of used machinery at its Blackwater Works in Shannonbridge this July.

The clearance auction has attracted attention from as far away as Denmark, auctioneer Paul Cooke of Paul Cooke Auctions revealed.

He described the reaction to the auction as “unbelievable” and said since it was announced on Saturday, “we have been just totally inundated.”

“I have had enquiries from as far as Denmark,”  added Mr Cooke.

Earlier this month, Bord na Móna MD Mike Quinn told an Oireachtas Committee that his company has “the largest tractor and excavator fleet in Europe.”
