Woman arrested over 50000 edenderry drug seizure

A woman was arrested following the seizure of cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis worth an estimated €50,000 in Edenderry yesterday. 

The seizure is part of on-going intelligence-led operations by Gardai targeting Organised Crime and the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kildare and Offaly area.

Detective Gardai from the Kildare Division assisted by the Tullamore Detective Unit carried out the planned search of an apartment at Granary Court, Edenderry at around 6pm. 

During the search cannabis, ecstasy and cocaine with an estimated combined street value of up to €50,000 was seized. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.

A woman in her 40’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kildare Garda Station.
