Offaly libraries celebrate wb yeats
Offaly Libraries will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of WB Yeats with a talk by Fidelma Mahon this evening.
Offaly Libraries will host the talk in Edenderry library at 7pm tonight. Fidelma returned to education at NUI Maynooth as a mature student and completed a degree in History and English. She went on to complete an MA in Irish Literature and Cultural Studies in 2014.
She has just completed her first novel which she has recently submitted for publishing. She has submitted and recited numerous items for Sunday Miscellany. Fidelma lives in Edenderry. Light refreshments provided.
Offaly libraries are also embracing the Yeats celebrations by conducting a poll during June to ascertain the county’s favourite Yeats poem.
