Vigilance urged after tullamore burglaries
Gardai are urging householders to be vigilant following a number of burglaries in Tullamore.
The warning follows burglaries of three occupied houses at Hophill and Chancery in Tullamore on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Gardai suspect all three burglaries were commited by the same criminals. Entry was gained through the front door in each burglary.
Cash, jewellery and electrical items were taken in the burglaries. Keys were taken and a car was also stolen from one of the houses.
Tullamore’s Sgt Graham Kavanagh believes the criminals struck between midnight and 8am. He advised people to use their house alarms at night and urged those without alarms to consider having one installed.
Members of the public are being asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the gardai immediately. Anyone with information in relation to the Tullamore burglaries is asked to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 057 93 27600.
