New snow warning issued

Motorists are advised to exercise caution as Met Eireann issues a fresh status yellow snow and ice warning.

The snow-ice warning was issued for Connacht, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Donegal, Clare, Kerry and Tipperary. Snow fell in parts of Offaly this morning.

Met Eireann has warned of wintry showers continuing today with snow accumulations up to 3cm likely. Larger accumulations are expected on high ground.

The warning is in effect from 6am and will remain in place until 3pm.
