Second Offaly Delicious food market this weekend
After a successful inaugural market on Easter Saturday, Offaly Delicious is at it again this Saturday, May 3.
“It was fantastic, absolutely fantastic,” market organiser Linda Johnson of Vanilla Bean Bakery said of the first food market in Tullamore. “There were so many people there. I was terrified there was going to be nobody at it, but it was huge, and the feedback we got from people was that it’s badly needed in town.”
This Saturday some 15 stalls will once again offer punters bread, beef, port, vegetables, cakes, eggs, fish, plants, pizza, preserves and more.
Stallholders expected on the day include Lough Boora Farm, Pacman Pizza, Bell Lane Coffee, Pigs on the Green, Quarrymount Meats, Georgia Smokehouse, Meadowsweet Apiaries, The Wild Irish, Vanilla Bean Bakery, O’Donoghue’s Bakery, Snacktastic, Ballyshiel Artisan Food, Alan Feighery, O’Gorman Cottage Condiments and Bloomhill Nurseries.
The market is open to all. It will be held at Kilcruttin Business Park from 10am to 2pm. Cars should enter via Spollenstown, while foot traffic can enter via there or Cormac Street.
From now on the market will take place on the last Saturday of every month.
