Kitchen Hero is coming to Birr

RTE One’s Kitchen Hero chef Donal Skehan is kicking off his first live HomeCooked tour across Ireland this month, and Birr has been revealed as one of his stops.

The Birr show will take place on Friday, November 22 next. On the day Donal will cook up meals live on stage, and audience members will leave with a copy of the recipes to recreate in their own home.

Donal’s new book HomeCooked was released in October to coincide with the tour. Upcoming projects for the young chef include joining UK MasterChef judge John Torode for the second series of the highly successful Junior MasterChef on BBC One, while the new series of Kitchen Hero arrived back on television screens this week.

This year Donal’s online series Simple Suppers began airing on Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube, exposing him to Jamie’s 6.5m online following. After cooking alongside Jamie in London, Donal is now in talks to become a YouTube partner with Jamie and will launch his own channel this autumn.
