Birr Castle opens doors next week

Guided tours inside Birr Castle are to begin next Tuesday, May 7.
Four tours will take place every day except Sunday, at 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm.

Those taking the one hour tour can expect to see areas inside the castle that’s still a family home including the main reception areas, the drawing and the music room.

Already Birr Castle Demesne, with its great telescope and science centre as well as magnificent gardens, is a big tourist draw. Adding guided castle tours to the line-up is sure to add to the destination’s popularity.

Admission to the science centre and gardens currently costs visitors €9. A new ticket costing €18 is to be added, which will include a guided tour of Birr Castle as well as full admission to all other attractions on the site.
