Top traditional entertainers for annual Birr Comhaltas concert

A number of top traditional entertainers have been invited to headline the annual Birr Comhaltas concert. The concert will be held in Birr Theatre and Arts Centre on Sunday, March 24.

Speaking to the Offaly Independent organisers said guests on the night will include current All-Ireland champion Sean Nos dancer Sharleen McCaffrey, All-Ireland under 18 accordian champion Fergus Bogue, All-Ireland concert flute champion Audrey Murphy and well known traditional singer Doreen Farrelly. The programme for the night will be completed with many other well known musicians, singers and dancers as well as a popular storyteller.

Booking for the concert is now open at Birr Theatre by calling 057 9122911. Tickets are also available from Birr Comhaltas branch members, with special concessions for those under the age of 18.
