Keeley to launch 'inspirational' song for Ireland project

Offaly singer Brendan Keeley is set to unveil plans to involve the people of the region in a major inspirational song or anthem for Ireland. Details will be released at a press conference on Monday next in the Tullamore Court Hotel. A spokesperson for the project said Brendan has worked on the arrangement and production of "what can only be best described as the most inspirational anthem in my opinion ever created for the people of Ireland". The press launch of the project will be attended by local figures from the world of sport, commerce, show business, arts and broadcasting. These include Henry Healy, Michael Duignan, Tom Parlon and representatives of the GAA, IFA, National Chamber of Commerce and Vintners Association of Ireland. At this event Brendan will outline his programme for involving the general public in the production of this anthem, and will perform it live on the evening with the Tullamore Gospel Choir. Late last year, Keeley announced on his Facebook page that he would be recording as many people as possible on the chorus of this song on Sunday, January 27 in O'Connor Park, Tullamore. This "song for Ireland" delivers an inspirational message of hope and well being for people suffering at the hands of global recession, the spokesperson said.
