Local trio set for Toy Show

Excitement filled the air recently when Midland Drama Schools director Lorraine Wynne received a phonecall from the most popular show in Ireland - RTE's Late Late Christmas Toy Show. Midland Drama Schools students Faye McLoughlin from Kilcormac, Angela Arnold from Tullamore and Mary Nally from Kilbeggan impressed judges at recent auditions and as a reward are now set to join Ryan Tubridy demonstrating toys and reviewing books. "This is a wonderful achievement," Lorraine said, adding that it's the fourth year in a row Midlands Drama Schools will be represented on the show. "To be given this opportunity for the most watched show in Ireland is an absolute privilege and Faye, Angel and Mary all intend on representing their counties of Offaly and Westmeath, along the Midlands in style." The Late Late Toy Show will air on Friday, November 30.
